My name is Marian Nicolay. My friends call me Lae.
I was born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1954 and I'm a baptized Orthodox Christian.
I've graduated both high school and the medicine faculty in Bucharest. Then I've committed myself to the study of Byzantine music and church painting.
I've specialized in the painting of Orthodox icons as they appear in Romanian, Russian, and Bulgarian churches. Since 1989 I've exhibited my icons in Bucharest, on different occasions.
